Housed within the beautifully preserved former ticket office of The Hoxton, Lloyd in Amsterdam, Barbue is an intimate cocktail bar that blends European heritage with vibrant South American influences. The interior design pays direct homage to the room's monumental architecture, meticulously preserving the original timber paneling and historic light chandeliers while reinstating the space's authentic, original paint colors. Nicemakers custom-designed a central bar that seamlessly integrates into the historic wooden wall coverings, ensuring the building's legacy remains the focal point. To balance the rich, dark tones of the original woodwork, the space is layered with bold geometric fabrics and bespoke rugs, creating a sophisticated yet highly approachable destination.
