Set along the Schinkel river in Amsterdam, this 560 m² project transforms a historic Arthur Staal building into a warm, multifunctional office and club environment. Nicemakers softened the building's striking brutalist concrete frame by introducing a tactile material palette of recycled ceramic tiles, cork flooring, poured concrete, and rich oak detailing. The layout features a seamless sequence of flexible lounges, focus zones, meeting rooms, and a central bar that aligns with the building’s original architectural grid. By integrating soft textiles, acoustic drapery, and lush greenery, the design creates intimate pockets within the open-plan floor layout, delivering a sophisticated workspace where productivity and social connection coexist effortlessly.
