Situated on the northern edge of the Veluwe nature reserve, this project transforms a original 1960s bungalow into a serene, light-filled forest retreat. Nicemakers reconfigured the traditional layout to create an open, transparent architectural flow that emphasizes a slow-living connection to the surrounding pine woodlands. Drawing inspiration from mid-century design principles: simplicity, functionality, and clean lines. The interior intentionally shifts away from intense colors toward an understated, calming palette that allows the garden vistas to take center stage. Through refined materials, meticulous detailing, and dedicated craftsmanship, the home is reimagined as a peaceful sanctuary tailored for reflection and creative focus.
