Situated within a Dutch national park, this project transforms a historic 17th-century farm into a warm, character-filled residential family retreat. The interior design draws direct inspiration from the surrounding Salland nature, utilizing a tactile, region-specific material palette of clay plaster, lime paint, flax, and linen. Large architectural windows frame the landscape to seamlessly blend the indoor spaces with the natural dunes outside, while traditional craftsmanship bridges the old and the new. Local Dutch antiques are thoughtfully layered with modern elements, anchoring the home in its rich cultural heritage while offering contemporary comfort.
